Updated

Abstract

18.79% of participants were identified with Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD).

  • Significant associations were found between IGD and factors such as gender and gaming partner.
  • Increased time spent gaming was linked to a higher prevalence of IGD.
  • Participants with IGD reported elevated levels of depression, anxiety, and stress.
  • A notable proportion of IGD individuals fell into the 'severe' and 'extremely severe' categories of psychological distress.
