  • A supportive care model emphasizing nutritional counseling, adequate protein intake, and structured resistance exercise may help preserve muscle health.
  • Supplementation with protein and nutritionally complete meal replacements may be beneficial when dietary intake is insufficient.
  • Future clinical care and trials should focus on a comprehensive assessment of muscle quantity, quality, function, and nutritional status.
