Among 1,786,664 participants, higher Life's Essential 8 (LE8) scores are associated with a 53% lower risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD).

  • Higher LE8 scores correlate with a significant decrease in CVD risk, indicated by a hazard ratio (HR) of 0.47.
  • An increase in LE8 scores is linked to a 46% reduction in all-cause mortality, with an HR of 0.54.
  • LE8 scores are associated with a 63% lower risk of CVD-related mortality, reflected in an HR of 0.37.
  • Individuals achieving higher LE8 scores exhibit a 56% lower risk of coronary heart disease.
  • A 48% lower risk of stroke is also observed in those with high LE8 scores.
