Decrease in long COVID symptoms after nerve block treatment: A review of patient records
Updated
Abstract
Patients reported striking reductions in several Long COVID symptoms following treatment with stellate ganglion blockade.
- Fatigue and worsening of symptoms after physical and mental activities showed significant improvement in patients.
- Memory problems, concentration issues, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and depression also exhibited notable reductions.
- Some symptoms, such as loss of taste and smell, did not respond to treatment, suggesting possible structural damage from the infection.
- The findings may indicate that neuromodulation could offer relief for a subset of individuals suffering from Long COVID.
- The results support the need for further prospective studies to explore this potential treatment.
