Updated

Abstract

Among 201,994 children, 3.5% exhibited sleep disorder symptoms.

  • Higher exposure to outdoor artificial light at night is associated with increased total sleep scores in children.
  • Exposure in higher quintiles (Q2-Q5) correlates with increased odds of sleep disorders, with the highest being 1.43 for Q3.
  • Children under 12 years show stronger associations between outdoor light exposure and sleep disorders.
  • Similar patterns of association are observed for different types of sleep disorders.
