Safety, effectiveness, and body processing of BGM0504 in Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes in a controlled clinical trial

Updated

Abstract

At Week 12, the mean change in HbA1c from baseline was -2.48% for the 15 mg dose of BGM0504.

  • BGM0504 resulted in significant reductions in HbA1c compared to placebo, with differences ranging from -1.82% to -2.56% (all p < 0.05).
  • The proportion of participants achieving target HbA1c levels of < 6.5% or < 7.0% increased with higher doses of BGM0504.
  • BGM0504 also indicated potential reductions in fasting plasma glucose, 2-hour plasma glucose, and body weight, all statistically significant (p < 0.05).
  • The 15 mg dose of BGM0504 demonstrated superior weight reduction compared to semaglutide.
  • Pharmacokinetics analysis showed a linear relationship between exposure and response.
  • All doses of BGM0504 were well tolerated, with mostly mild adverse events reported.
