Sleep and biological rhythms

How sleep and daily body clock patterns relate to diet and food intake in inactive adults

Updated

Abstract

Among 42 adults, poor sleep quality was linked to lower dietary practice scores (MD - 6.68; p = 0.021).

  • Individuals with a morning chronotype may exhibit better dietary practices.
  • A longer eating window is associated with higher energy intake.
  • Other sleep-related factors did not show a significant relationship with dietary practices or energy intake.
