Abstract
Patients with obesity undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) are at elevated risk for recurrent heart failure and cardiorenal events.
- Weight loss and metabolic improvement are associated with the use of tirzepatide.
- The effectiveness of tirzepatide in reducing heart failure and cardiorenal events in post-TAVR patients is currently unknown.
- Further research is needed to evaluate the potential benefits of tirzepatide in this high-risk population.
