Testing the Korean Version of the Munich Chronotype Questionnaire
Updated
Abstract
The Munich Chronotype Questionnaire (MCTQ) shows a significant correlation with the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ) scores (│r│ ≥ 0.48).
- The Korean version of the MCTQ was validated with 310 participants, averaging 27.09 years old.
- MCTQ parameters demonstrated test-retest reliability of ≥ 0.72.
- Cutoff scores of 2.5% corresponded to mid-sleep times of 2.36 and 8.57 hours, effectively categorizing chronotype.
- The MCTQ differentiates between sleep-wake patterns on work days versus free days.
- The findings support the MCTQ's utility in assessing chronotype in young adults.
