Abstract
Significant improvements in body satisfaction were observed after surgery in patients with GLP-1-induced and post-bariatric weight loss.
- Patients using GLP-1 receptor agonists for weight loss are increasingly seeking body contouring surgery.
- Both groups, those with GLP-1-induced weight loss and those post-bariatric surgery, reported enhanced body satisfaction after surgical procedures.
- The findings suggest that weight loss from different sources may lead to similar psychosocial outcomes post-surgery.
- Considerations for interpreting these outcomes are important for patient counselling and assessing surgical results.
