Single-cell Aging Clocks as Precise Tools to Understand and Target Aging
Updated
Abstract
Essence
Single-cell aging clocks are presented as tools for measuring cell-type-specific and mosaic aging.
Evidence
This review synthesizes recent single-cell omics aging-clock methods and the biological insights they report, including disease age acceleration, intervention-linked reversal, embryonic age reset, microenvironment effects, and extreme longevity.
Caveat
As a review, it does not test a new clock or show that these tools can yet guide human healthspan interventions.
