Changes in body composition and bone mineral density were observed over 12 months in individuals with obesity and type 1 diabetes.

  • Treatment with a GLP-1 receptor agonist may alter body composition in individuals with obesity and type 1 diabetes.
  • Bone mineral density changes were assessed in participants undergoing treatment with either GLP-1RA or GIP/GLP-1RA.
  • The study focused on the effects of these treatments over a 12-month period.
