The TREND-8 study identified significant changes in antidiabetic prescribing patterns in Portugal from 2017 to 2024.

  • There was a marked increase in the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i).
  • Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) also saw significant growth in prescribing rates.
