Overall, 40% of severe Crohn's patients experienced social jet lag greater than 2 hours.

  • Later chronotype is associated with a worse quality of life in individuals with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
  • Social jet lag is more pronounced in IBD patients (1.32 hours) compared to healthy controls (1.05 hours).
  • Increased sleep debt is observed in IBD subjects, averaging 21.90 minutes compared to 11.49 minutes in healthy controls.
  • Inconsistent meal timing correlates with lower quality of life scores in IBD patients.
